Background
Cameron Design House (Design & Architecture Winner 2016) co-Founder Matthew Holleman was looking for a fresh start with fresh designs that were spinning in his mind. Through chance, GAS and Matt connected and decided to start something beautiful together.
The Challenge
Uniqueness in craft, boutique in approach, and connection to clientèle are the fundamental building blocks for a sculptural lighting portfolio to thrive in the tight-knit world of affluence and status.
The Work
Matt brought the vision for his art, we got to work building a reputation with families, galleries, and interior designers who would commission his pieces.
Complete 3D renders of all of Ovature Studio’s first collection, a site designed for end users with specs and custom options, targeted PR in design pubs, and a personalized brand spirit built the base. We told Matt’s story, his tenure with the famed Cameron Design House, and his handmade approach to each part of a fixture.
After a year building the base, the demand grew too strong for only Matt’s hands and delays occurred. But as with all hot restaurants, lines increase demand. The delays helped the business boom, and soon, orders were coming in from all over the world, from Dubai to Auckland and Miami.
Impact
Armed with a strong reputation with credentials from 1stDibs and endorsements from notable designers like Amy Lau, Ovature Studios saw a 350% increase in revenue which has remained stable through the end of 2022.
